Other Dental Care

At Pacifico Dental Care, we don’t just look at your teeth, but your whole head, neck, and jaw complex to help assess and treat any issues that you may have. From jaw pain to migraines, to snoring and sleep apnea, we have a variety of treatments to help with these concerns.

Night Guards

Clenching and grinding is one of the most prevalent habits in the population and yet most people don’t even know that they do it! From wear on the teeth to waking up with headaches, a clenching or grinding habit can not only damage your teeth in the long-run, but can be affecting your everyday life.

One option that we offer is custom-fabricated night guards. Unlike the bulky ones found in the drug store, our night guards are small and custom fitted to your teeth, making them easier to sleep with. A night guard helps protect your teeth from doing damage to themselves. In addition, a properly fabricated nightguard can help relax the jaw muscles and train your brain to not clench and grind overnight.

TMD / TMJ

TMJ is the anatomical abbreviation for the temporomandibular joint, which is the joint connecting your lower jawbone to the base of your skull. Because this joint is one of the most frequently used joints in the body, when it gets inflamed, it can be very painful and impact many aspects of normal activities.

More than 15 percent of American adults suffer from chronic facial pain, such as jaw pain, headaches or earaches all of which may be related to TMD.

Depending on the cause of your specific pain and symptoms, we have a variety of treatment options to help alleviate or remove the discomfort.

Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts. You may have sleep apnea if you snore loudly, and you feel tired even after a full night's sleep.

Sleep apnea is considered a serious medical condition that can have many complications. After a sleep test is used to determine the type and severity of sleep apnea, a dental appliance can be a viable solution for many cases instead of a C-PAP machine.
